Other important aspects

We understand that traveling can be a stressful ordeal, especially into the unknown. We want to make life as easy as possible, so please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us with any additional questions.

Dress code

Our dress code is casual, but we recommend neutral colors for activities (khaki, brown, olive and beige).

Winter (May to October) months can get very cold during the early morning and late afternoon. We suggest bringing sweaters, windbreakers, hats and gloves. As the day progresses and the sun warms up, it is good to wear short sleeves and pants under all the warm clothes.

Summer (November to April) months are very hot and wet. Make sure to bring a rain jacket for the unpredictable rainy days. Remember that layering your clothing will keep you warmer than relying on one thick item.

For more information on what to pack, please find attached the document with full information.

Food requirements

Please inform our reservations department of any special dietary requirements so that we can make arrangements on request. Please also advise us of any guests who will be celebrating a birthday or special occasion.

Arriving to camp

Isambane Camp is situated in the  very heart of the Balule Parsons Private Nature Reserve. Our nearest airport is the Hoedspruit Eastgate airport only 50km away from the camp and Johannesburg OR Tambo airport is approximately 6h drive. Transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.

Signal and WiFi

Signal reception can be unpredictable but wireless internet connectivity is available in the main area.

Please note that the use of laptops and cellphones is restricted to individual bedrooms or designated areas out of respect for other guests. Mobile phones must be put on silent during game drives and in public areas.

Malaria

The Parsons region is a low-risk malaria area. However, we are still proactive in respect of the measures we put in place to control mosquitoes within the camp.

Peaceful Sleep (a mosquito repellent) is available in all rooms and on game-drive vehicles to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Vehichle

The vehicle in which you will travel is an open vehicle without roof, doors or windows. Please be aware that these are wild animals that you will be viewing and even though they may seem relaxed, it is important that we give them space and treat them with respect.
