Safari experience

Game drives

Situated within a Big 5 nature reserve and open to the Greater Kruger, Isambane can provide unforgettable safari experiences. Home to over 35 large mammal species, breathtaking wildlife could be just around the corner. Our drives can provide close encounters not only with the Big 5, but also an assortment of plains game. However, we don’t only focus on the big game, as often the intricate details of nature are just as impressive. You will leave our safari with an understanding of what makes the bush ‘tick’.

Morning drive

Other activities

Immerse yourself

Other than Game drives, Isambane Camp offers alternative activities to fully experience the South African Bush in all its beauty. In order to satisfy all guests requests it is necessary to pre-arrange and book prior to arrival.

Phenomenal

Birding

With over 350 different species of birds occurring in the region, bird-lovers will not be disappointed. The Olifants River which runs through the center of the reserve attracts water-associated birds, whilst the magnificent fig trees growing alongside the river draw in our colourful fruit-eaters. The area is also excellent for raptors, including owls which can be seen on night drives.

Breathtaking

Stargazing

Many people living in cities are prohibited from stargazing due to the contamination of light pollution. However, at Isambane you are able to observe the full beauty of the African night sky. Gaze in awe at the elegance of the stars as our experienced rangers use laser pointers to provide enlightening and entertaining commentary about our southern hemisphere constellations.

Immersive

Bush walks

At Isambane we care and focus as much as possible to the conservation and preservation of our fauna and flora species. Join us on a magnificent experience to become one with nature and walk at the same level as all the animals you can see on a safari. Let's get deep into the understanding of all small and big species.
